June Full Moon - Solace in Work

The Full Moon, known as the Strawberry Moon, on June 28th at 12:54 am EDT involves the Sun in Cancer and the Moon in Capricorn. The opposition of Cancer-Capricorn is about work and relationship with nurturance. The Sun wants gentleness, care and nourishment and the Moon wants self-discipline, integrity and accomplishment. As with all Full Moons, the Sun is opposite the Moon, but with this one, the stretch is more powerful as Cancer is ruled by the Moon and Saturn blends with it tightly while Saturn is retrograde.

This Saturnian Moon feels isolating, sobering and even a little depressing. Yet, it also wants to get to work, strive for success and persevere through circumstance. Progress can be made on any task you desire.

Venus is asking Neptune for adjustments, so expressions in relationship, love and partnership may be confusing or misinterpreted. With Mercury challenging Uranus, unexpected events, surprises or technical snafus complicate any strides you’ve made on projects or in relationships. Look for the silver lining in any unforeseen happening.

Jupiter trine Neptune softens these influences as does the waning Venus sexing up Jupiter. However, the overall energy is Capricornian. Think work, productivity and endurance. The Cancerian Sun yearns for nourishment, rejuvenation and the comforts of home and family.  So, your best bet is to tackle any home improvement projects.

Full Moon Recommendations:

  • Think of ways to celebrate your life
  • Do projects at home
  • Take a stand, but think before you act
  • Make a list of the ways you can nurture yourself
  • Lean into your intuition to recognize your heart’s desires
  • Plan a family reunion
  • Express gratitude for the good fortune from the prior New Moon
  • Make a really good meal and enjoy it fully
  • Spend some time in solitude

With Cancer, compassion, self-indulgence and concern relieves Capricorn’s stoic, strong and unwavering focus and discipline.  Try to make the most of the energies by working, but softly, kindly and compassionately.

This Full Moon is the last one before the eclipses begin on July 12th.

Take a moment to review your intentions from last eclipse cycle.

As always, wishing you joy,
